The use of cosmetics was first introduced into Britain during the crusades in the 11th century, and although we haven't been producing chemicals for this industry since its launch, we do have a wealth of knowledge in this area.
At Robinson Brothers, we have 60 years of experience in the manufacturing of the raw materials and active ingredients used to produce cosmetics and we supply these to some industry-leading companies across the globe.
As well as our world-renowned manufacturer of Thioglycolic acid (2-Mercaptoacetic acid) and Thioglycolate salts, we also produce:
• Thioglycolic acid (anhydrous)
• Thioglycolic acid 80 per cent (aqueous)
• Potassium thioglycolate 42 per cent and 44 per cent (aqueous)
• Sodium thioglycolate 45 per cent (aqueous)
These chemicals are used in a variety of end-use applications, such as permanent hair waves and depilatory creams and foams.
Robinson Brothers is an ISO9001-compliant organisation and is committed to providing a high-quality service to all of our customers by adhering to the latest ISO 9001 BSI standards. Furthermore, our manufacturing processes abide to the ISO14001 Environmental Management System, preventing pollution and ensuring the impact on our surroundings is limited.
With over a century of experience under our belts, we are able to operate in an open and ethical manner without compromising on the quality of the chemicals we produce.
