Robinson Brothers have been supplying odorant to the UK gas and biofuel industries for over 60 years. With a strong expertise in handling organo-sulfur compounds, Robinson Brothers supply a range of odorising materials to treatment plants located above ground, throughout the UK and Republic of Ireland.
To facilitate the logistics of gas odorant supply to gas treatment plants, Robinson Brothers have designed and constructed a small fleet of bespoke odorant delivery vehicles ranging in capacity from 3,600 litres–8,000 litres.
These purpose built delivery vehicles operate in a closed-system to ensure odor-free deliveries. We currently have a range of delivery vehicles to respond rapidly to urgent requirements, and to provide efficient deliveries to both remote and urban gas treatment plants. We also supply smaller quantities of odorant in transportable containers, ranging from 12 litres-400 litres, depending on your requirements.
Our gas odorant team are all H.G.V/A.D.R/C.P.C qualified, and have over 15 years experience of handling odorising materials.
This experience led us to win the Chemical Industries Association’s (CIA) prestigious BIS Excellence in Engineering Award in 2011, for our innovative engineering solution to the odorisation of the UK’s natural gases.
We also offer full bespoke value-added services for the decontamination and decommissioning of gas odorising plant and associated equipment. This includes emptying and deodorising injection systems and bulk odorant storage facilities. Our extensive know-how allows us to decontaminate odorising systems ranging between 12 litres-40,000 litres, interconnected pumping systems and underground pipelines that service the national transmission network.
Once decontaminated, the systems can be left open to the atmosphere, or alternatively, removed for safe disposal. Waste odorising media can be processed at our fully licensed waste handling facility in West Bromwich by incineration or chemical neutralisation.
Robinson Brothers are a ISO 14001 compliant organisation. Our Engineers ensure that all work is carried out in a non-destructive manner. We work closely with local Environment Agencies and Health & Safety Executives to ensure that all legislations are abided by as well as providing Risk Assessments, COSSH Assessments and Spillage Procedures.
